Motivational speaker, and international author Lynn Hill

Every Wednesday on her mid-morning show, Tracey Lange interviews her Woman Crush Wednesday #WCW. Joining Tracey today is author, motivational speaker and poet Lynn Hill.  A brutal rape, a divorce and several other negative experiences motivated her to write a book. 'Butterfly - My Soul Got Wings: What Life Has Taught Me'  'Butterfly - My Soul Got Wings: What Life Has Taught Me'  is about transcendence of personal pain, finding freedom beyond emotional and spiritual captivity and celebrating the resilience of the human spirit.  I've not had an easy life, and I think the book is the manifestation of the journey.  The journey has not been easy but I could never not share the tools that actually led me from captivity to freedom. If we never share the lessons, we nullify the experience.  For more details, visit http://www.lynnhillinternational.com/

Chantelle Goliath of New Heritage Foundation

Every Wednesday on her mid-morning show, Tracey Lange interviews her Woman Crush Wednesday #WCW. Joining Tracey this week is businesswoman and entrepreneur, Chantelle Goliath. Chantelle established her non-profit organisation, New Heritage Foundation in 2013 whilst living in a wendy house.  The New Heritage Foundation focuses on education. We reconstruct buldings, and educare centres, mostly out in informal settlements.  You think you don't have anything to give. Why must I give if I have nothing? For me it was something entirely different, "What do I want to leave behind?" and "What is the impact I want to leave one day?" Less than two years ago, Chantelle started her own imports/exports company called Milli Distributions. They are the sole distributor of the Glory Pad.  I import and export the first of its kind sanitary pad which is biodegradable, totally organic. It's charcoal, reduces menstrual cramps and eliminates odour while wearing it. It's the very thing women have been waiting for all their lives.  For more details, visit www.newheritage.org.za/

Renshia Manuel of GrowBox

Every Wednesday on her mid-morning show, Tracey Lange interviews her Woman Crush Wednesday #WCW. This week, Tracey spoke with Renshia Manuel, CEO and creator of GrowBox - a Social Enterprise and Wholesale Plant Nursery established in Hanover Park, Cape Town. Renshia was recently named the Social Entrepreneur of the year at the 2019 Fairlady Santam Women of the Future Awards. This is awarded female entrepreneurs making a real difference in their community. Unemployed and struggling to put food on the table, she started growing vegetables in her backyard to feed her four children. This sparked her business idea to help households grow their own food at their own homes. "I started a vegetable garden in my own backyard. I soon realised that I had space available to me where many of my community members did not. There wasn't access to available land space around them. So then I came up with the idea of starting a nursery but how do incorporate the nursery and help the community in the same situation. How can they grow their own food?" Through GrowBox, Renshia helps to alleviate poverty by providing disadvantaged communities, such as Hanover Park, with the necessary training and mediums to sustainably grow their own vegetables at their homes. Her business manufactures and supplies fully stocked vegetable boxes for those who do not have sufficient space to grow their own vegetables - for instance, people living in informal settlements, flats or backyard dwellers where space is limited.
