Open Mic on The Flash Drive serves as a weekly opportunity for listeners to take control of the show — whether they want to get something off their chest, highlight a worthy charity or simply pose a question to the audience.

This week, the afternoon drive team were met with a familiar voice... None other than funny man, Leon Schuster!

The filmmaker and comedian joined Open Mic with an important message for South Africans: "I am not dead!"

Taking on the recent rumours of his death, Schuster says "I do not understand what pleasure people get out of the fact that they tell the world that people are dead."

In fact, the 70-year-old is working on a new movie. He's just completed a new Mr Bones film with 'Oh Shucks!' sidekick Alfred Ntombela, "I never realised that this guy had this acting talent... over the years."

"I decided that I'm going to give him a movie... he was absolutely fantastic."
