Darren "Whackhead" Simpson comes up with a grand plan to prank Eskom.
He calls up the customer contact centre and is promptly told by an automated voice that he is caller number 250.
No problem. He has time, so he stays on the line.
25 minutes pass and Whackhead Simpson is still on hold waiting to hear a human voice — he is now caller number 240.

But he is in it for the long haul. So he waits and waits for over an hour, number 228 in the queue.
Then the unthinkable (or not) happens: The phone call cuts!
And when he calls Eskom back, he realises why — it's because the contact centre closes promptly at 4pm.
