Lockdown restrictions have significantly reduced the light activity associated with socializing and work.

Reclaiming this lost activity is actually straightforward, and our resident fitness enthusiast Liezel van der Westhuizen discusses how.

Examples of light activity that we lost out on during lockdown include shopping, walking around the office, walking to the water cooler and walking to get lunch.

We've become lazy in lockdown!

In the office... it's easy to get distracted by someone saying come let's quickly go get a coffee or let's walk to the kitchen together, or you're standing around each other's desks just catching up... that bit of light activity adds up at the end of the day.

With working from home, we're more stationary. But we need to get out and keep moving.
