Introducing Jamie-Lee Sexton: a Jo’burg based artist, leader of the band, The Sextons, who has been making waves up north as a soloist for some time. Her name also may sound familiar to longtime fans of Idols SA, as she placed in the top 8 of season 6 of the reality TV show.

But now it’s time for the Western Cape to meet her - on the province's biggest radio station, on SA's most popular chart show.

Following the release of her new single 'It’s True’ on Friday, 30 April 2021, Carl Wastie gave Jamie-Lee Sexton a call the following day (Saturday, 1 May 2021) on the multiple award-winning Kfm Top 40 to intro her to Kfm 94.5 and to give her new track, which pays homage to the 80s, a spin.

'It's True', produced by SA pop icon, Daniel Baron, is the first single from her upcoming EP, 'Medicine Woman', which will be released later this year.
