The 2000s were owned by South African Pop-Rock band, Watershed.
Most famous for their signature tune 'Indigo Girl' in 2002, the band successfully toured locally and internationally with their unique acoustic rock sound.
Years later, Watershed is still going strong and are back with a new track titled, 'Undone', which was first played on Kfm Mornings!
For the first single off their seventh studio album titled Elephant in the Room (releasing on 7 May 2021), lead singer and songwriter Craig Hinds channelled his creativity during lockdown into writing “Undone” which pays homage to those emotions of uncertainty and confusion most of us felt when the pandemic hit our shores last year.
“At the time, like a lot of people, I was questioning everything that was going on,” explains Craig.
“At the same time, you are also trying to keep things as normal as you can, even though you know that something is drastically wrong.”
'Undone' focuses on that feeling of unravelling because of this constant questioning as seen in the lyric: “It's got me hiding all my loved ones and trying to keep a smile on...”
The track takes a more rock, up-tempo approach as opposed to the ballad you’d expect from a song that deals with such heavy source material.
