It's been five long years since Adele released her last album.

The singer debuted with 19 in 2008, followed by 21 in 2011 and 25 in 2015.

Unsurprisingly, she is the recipient of 9 Brit Awards, an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, 15 Grammy Awards, 18 Billboard Music Awards, 5 American Music Awards, and 2 Ivor Novello Awards for Songwriter of the Year.

Known for her heartbreak and relationship music, the ‘Someone like You’ singer has largely stayed out of the limelight following her ‘Adele Live 2017’ tour.

In 2019, she announced her split with her husband of three years Simon Koneki.

Since then the star has stunned fans with her incredible transformation.

Adele is said to be currently dating rapper Skepta.

As we patiently wait for Adele’s highly-anticipated fourth album, here are 6 of her most beautiful lyrics from 19, 21 and 25.

Someone Like You

I hate to turn up out of the blue, uninvited / But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it / I had hoped you'd see my face / And that you'd be reminded that for me, it isn't over

Hello from the outside / At least I can say that I've tried / To tell you I'm sorry / For breaking your heart / But it don't matter, it clearly / Doesn't tear you apart anymore

Set Fire to the Rain

But there's a side to you / That I never knew, never knew / All the things you'd say / They were never true, never true / And the games you'd play / You would always win, always win

Rolling in the Deep

The scars of your love remind me of us / They keep me thinking that we almost had it all / The scars of your love they leave me breathless, I can't help feeling / We could have had it all

Send My Love (To Your New Lover)

Send my love to your new lover / Treat her better / We've gotta let go of all of our ghosts / We both know we ain't kids no more

chasing pavements

Should I give up / Or should I just keep chasing pavements? / Even if it leads nowhere / Or would it be a waste? / Even if I knew my place should I leave it there?

No doubt that Adele's next album will be climbing the charts! Until then, catch her music on Kfm Love Songs with Brandon Leigh, Mondays to Thursdays, 8-10pm on Kfm 94.5!
