The Western Cape has seen a resurgence in positive Covid-19 cases in recent days.

According to Western Cape Premier Alan Winde the province has seen a rise of more than 50% in the past few weeks.

The premier says that he is very concerned about the rise in cases and has asked residents to continue to be vigilant.

He's warned that the province and the economy can't afford to go into another lockdown.

Winde added that the Western Cape cabinet would be looking at the possibility of district lockdowns.

To find out more about the resurgence Carl caught up with the premier to get the latest on the situation in the province.
