Justin Bieber revealed in an Instagram post that he has been battling Lyme disease and a serious case of mononucleosis.

The 25-year-old wrote, "It's been a rough couple years but getting the right treatment that will help treat this so far incurable disease and I will be back and better than ever"

Bieber shared that he will reveal more details in his upcoming YouTube documentary series, Justin Bieber: Seasons.

Lyme disease is an infection caused by bacteria commonly carried by ticks. Typical symptoms include fever, headache, fatigue and a skin rash. Left untreated, the infection can spread to joints, the heart, and the nervous system.

Justin Bieber recently released a brand new single titled “Yummy,” marking his first solo project since his last album Purpose in 2015.
