For thousands of moms in old age homes across the Western Cape, Mother's Day is just another day - sometimes their families can't get to them because they live too far away, and sometimes they are just not thought about.
However, the past few years these mothers have received something that reminded them that they are cherished and loved - a piece of cake.
Thanks to Lynne Cummings, who started this initiative to commemorate her late mom, and Tsogo Sun, the Mothers Day Cake Drive was able to distribute over 7000 pieces of cake last year
This year, with your help, we want that number to be over 10 000!
Here is how you can get involved:
Choose a home that you would like to whom you would like to donate.
You can choose from the list below, or any other home that you know of.
Pledge how many cakes you want to donate and to which old age home on the KFM Breakfast Facebook page ( click here)
This is a great way to let everyone know that you are involved!
Take the cakes to the home on Mother's Day
Remember to post photos of your delivery to our Facebook page.
